WHAT IS THE CANADIAN YOUTH PARLIAMENT (PJP)?
The Pan-Canadian Youth Parliament takes place every two years in Ottawa and is organized by the Fédération de la jeunesse canadienne-française (FJCF). It brings together French-speaking youth from across the country for a parliamentary simulation like real politicians do on Parliament Hill!
This is the perfect opportunity for you to learn more about Canadian politics by playing the role of a politician.
On the program: 3 days of room simulations (with role-plays), stimulating discussions on the Canadian government process, social evenings to get to know other French-speaking young people.

THROWBACK ON THE PJP 2026
The 13th edition of the Canadian Youth Parliament (Parlement jeunesse pancanadien) took place from January 7 to 11, 2026, in Ottawa, within the Senate. British Columbia's delegation had the opportunity to be represented by 7 engaged and passionate young people with a shared interest in parliamentary simulations. Among these participants, 2 young people took on leadership roles during the CYP as Minister and Vice-Speaker of the House over the course of the weekend.
The delegates were able to debate a wide range of topics, including education, overconsumption, and the environment. Beyond the debates, the young participants had the chance to attend conferences and enjoy social evenings around the city of Ottawa. This activity-packed weekend concluded with a Gala celebrating the participants' work, where the next Cabinet was elected. Congratulations to Amélie Préville for representing British Columbia on the Cabinet as Speaker of the House!
See you in 2028!
DO YOU KNOW WHY THE PYP IS ORGANIZED EVERY TWO YEARS ?
Quite simply because it alternates with the FYP (Pan-Canadian Youth Forum).
