WHO ARE OUR MEMBERS?

The members of the Conseil jeunesse are youth aged 14 to 25 who live in British Columbia and gather around the same goal: to speak, have fun and get involved in French.

Whether it is your first language, your second language or you identify as bilingual, you will inevitably find your place in the big family of the Conseil jeunesse!

HOW TO BECOME A MEMBER?

The criteria for becoming a member of the CJFCB are as follows:

  • be aged between 14 and 25
  • be able to communicate in French
  • be a resident of British Columbia

**There are two ways to become a member: **

  • By participating in one of our activities or events
  • By submitting an request to the Board of Directors via an online form (requests are reviewed by the Board twice a year, around early December and late May).

TERM OF MEMBERSHIP

Membership is valid for 18 months from the date of approval by the Board of Directors or from the date of your participation in a CJFCB activity or event. This implies that each time you participate in an activity or event, or each time the Board of Directors approves your application, your membership is renewed for 18 months.

On the day you turn 26, your membership ends (with the exception of Board members, who keep their membership status until the end of their term).

WHY BECOME A MEMBER?

Becoming a member of the CJFCB is free and offers you exclusive benefits:

  • Attend the Annual General Meeting (AGM) in June and make your voice heard by voting on the upcoming activities, the organization’s budget, and the election of the Board of Directors.
  • Be given priority during our participant selection process for events, thereby increasing your chances of taking part in our activities!
  • Stay informed about the latest news and receive exclusive updates on CJFCB events and initiatives. In other words, being a member means speaking up, sharing your opinions, but above all, being heard and having a Board of Directors that reflects who you are!
