Since its creation in 1989, the CJFCB has held the ‘BY and FOR youth’ as a foundational principle. As a non-profit and charitable organization, it is today considered a major stakeholder in all things related to French-speaking youth in British Columbia.
OUR MISSION
For 35 years, the CJFCB has been promoting, developing and representing the interests of French-speaking youth in British Columbia and helping to achieve its full potential through the organization of various cultural, educational and community-oriented initiatives for youth aged 14 to 25. To ensure consistently successful programming, the organization adapts to all profiles and desires !
OUR GOALS
Ensure that our members can have fun in French, meet new people, connect with other youth and stakeholders in the community and ensure that Franco-Columbian youth continue to thrive every day! #ByandForYouth
OUR STRATEGIC AXES
Four main axes guide our daily decisions and actions: active participation of our members; identity, belonging and engagement; our positioning and reach; and our organizational capacities. They are outlined in detail in our 2019-2024 strategic plan.
OUR ORGANIZATION IN PICTURES

During the AGM, the members of the CJFCB elect board members and vote on the budget and programming of the upcoming year.

The board members elect an executive director who is responsible for recruiting, training and supervising a team of employees.

The executive director and their team work to develop strategic partnerships to offer activities throughout the year as well as resources that address the members’ needs.

The members attend the activities of the CJFCB - Member satisfaction is made possible thanks to the support of sponsors, partners and donors, as well as the work of employees, board members, volunteers, leaders and mentors.

Every year in June, the CJFCB awards two 500$ scholarships to two graduating students of the CSF.
