WHAT IS PJFCB?

The French-speaking Youth Parliament of British Columbia is a parliamentary simulation aimed at 14-25 year olds from all over British Columbia. Young people are immersed in the reality of British Columbia political life for three days.

While deputies and ministers debate social issues that directly affect Franco-Colombian youth, a team of journalists carefully monitors parliamentary discussions in order to report them to the rest of the population via the press and radio. The citizen action group tries to make itself heard by decision-makers and journalists, through demonstrations, street blockades, petitions and advertising campaigns.

All participants have the same goal: to participate in British Columbia's democratic process.

THROWBACK ON PJFCB 2026

The 28th edition of the Francophone Youth Parliament of British Columbia took place from January 22 to 25, 2026. The PJFCB brought together 85 young people from across the province through its three streams: Delegate, Civic Action, and Media.

The 65 delegates debated and adopted bills addressing well-being, sleep, and light and noise safety, while also tackling the issue of youth unemployment. Ten activists led awareness-raising actions, while ten journalists ensured full coverage of the event and produced the magazine Masse Critique.

Guided by the Glow In The Dark theme, this edition made the PJFCB shine through social and innovative activities. A huge thank you to the Cabinet, trainers, volunteers, and partners for their invaluable support. See you next year ✨
