PJFCB this year
The Francophone Youth Parliament of British Columbia (PJFCB) is back for its 28th edition, from January 22 to 25, 2026!
Are you between 14 and 25 years old? Do you want to take part in a unique four-day experience at the heart of the Victoria Legislature? Then the PJFCB is for you!
While youth MPs and ministers debate bills and issues affecting Francophone youth in British Columbia, a team of journalists covers every moment and shares it through the press and radio. At the same time, members of the civic action group get involved creatively: demonstrations, advertising campaigns, petitions, anything goes to try to influence the debates!
Beyond the debates, the PJFCB also offers social activities that allow participants to meet other young people, share experiences, and strengthen connections within the Francophone community.

WHAT IS PJFCB?
The French-speaking Youth Parliament of British Columbia is a parliamentary simulation aimed at 14-25 year olds from all over British Columbia. Young people are immersed in the reality of British Columbia political life for three days.
While deputies and ministers debate social issues that directly affect Franco-Colombian youth, a team of journalists carefully monitors parliamentary discussions in order to report them to the rest of the population via the press and radio. The citizen action group tries to make itself heard by decision-makers and journalists, through demonstrations, street blockades, petitions and advertising campaigns.
All participants have the same goal: to participate in British Columbia's democratic process.
THROWBACK ONPJFCB 2025
From January 30 to February 2, 2025, the French-speaking Youth Parleament of British Colombia (PJFCB) gave 84 young people from all over the province a unique and fun immersive experience for its 27th edition!
- 64 members of Parliament debated passionately and voted to put in place a bill concerning the restriction and authorization of the use of screens by youth, and a bill concerning the optimization of river infrastructures and sustainable development in British Columbia.
- 10 activists led various campaigns and a protest in front of parliament to ensure that the public's voice was heard.
- 11 journalists covered the event and compiled it all in a magazine that will soon be printed and shared online!
This year's espionage theme created plenty of twists and turns, from a murder mystery social evening to the costume gala and the screen control bill!
Thank you to the firm, our trainers, our volunteers and our partners, who have all shown tremendous generosity! Until next year!
Le Cabinet
To organize this event, we have seven French-speaking young people working as part of Le Cabinet.
Fully embodying the CJFCB's spirit of “BY and FOR young people,” Le Cabinet aims to work with us to organize the 2026 edition of the Francophone Youth Parliament of British Columbia!
Elected by participants during the previous edition, Le Cabinet is a team of motivated young people, each with a specific role in preparing and bringing the next edition to life. Without Le Cabinet, the Youth Parliament would not have the same energy!
Here is an overview of their missions:
- To create memorable experiences: Organizing activities and content for the parliament
- To make the Parliament unique and inspiring: Choosing the theme, coming up with creative content, animating social media
- To avoid the unexpected and ensure that everything runs smoothly: Managing debate and activity schedules, organizing seating in the Chamber, technical and practical management of the event
- To welcome and guide you: Managing registrations and information before the event, selecting bills and supporting ministers
- To learn, share, and grow together: Working as a team with pre-assigned roles while developing skills within a close-knit team
So, are you ready to meet the Cabinet of this 28th edition?
