WHO ARE THE MEMBERS OF THE CJFCB?
The members of the Conseil jeunesse are youth aged 14 to 25 who live in British Columbia and gather around the same goal: to speak, have fun and get involved in French.
Whether it is your first language, your second language or you identify as bilingual, you will inevitably find your place in the big family of the Conseil jeunesse! #CBEnFamille
WHY BECOME A MEMBER?
Becoming a member of the CJFCB is free and offers unique advantages:
- Attend our Annual General Meeting (AGM) in June, make your voice heard and vote on the programme of activities for the coming years, the organisation's budget and the election of your new Board members.
- Be given priority in the selection of participants for our events and maximise your chances of taking part in our activities. The opportunity to speak French and make lots of new Franco-Colombian friends!
- Be regularly informed of news and receive exclusive tips for the events and initiatives of the CJFCB
Overall, being a member means expressing yourself, offering your opinion and above all being heard and having a Board members that represents you!
HOW TO BECOME A MEMBER
The criteria for becoming a member of the CJFCB are as follows:
- be aged between 14 and 25
- be able to communicate in French
- be a resident of British Columbia
- have participated in one of the CJFCB's activities, or have applied for membership and have been approved by the Board members.
TERM OF MEMBERSHIP
- Membership is valid for 18 months from the date of approval by the Board of Directors or your participation in a CJFCB event.
- Each time you participate in a new CJFCB activity, you renew your membership for a further 18 months.
- Your membership start or renewal date is displayed in your profile on your member space!
- On your 26th birthday, your membership ends, unless you are already a director, in which case your membership continues until the end of your term.
