WHAT IS THE PFCNO?

The Parlement franco-canadien du Nord et de l’Ouest (PFCNO) is an interprovincial parliamentary simulation that, for over 30 years, has brought together French-speaking youth aged 16 to 25 from Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Alberta, British Columbia, Nunavut, the Northwest Territories and the Yukon.

If you have always been interested in the mechanisms of power and the various laws of our country, slip into the shoes of a minister, a member of Parliament, a journalist or a member of the Cabinet and express your opinion !

Regardless of your knowledge of parliamentary policy or procedures, the goal is to increase your leadership skills while experiencing an unforgettable experience !

Registration now open for the 32nd PFCNO

This year, the 32nd edition of the PFCNO will take place in Winnipeg, Manitoba from November 8 to 10, 2024, with two days of travel on November 7 and 11. The British Columbia delegation will consist of 7 young people.

The application period is now open! Here are some important dates:

July 11 - Deadline for the role of Deputy Premier July 25 - Deadline for the role of Minister August 8 - Deadline for MPs and journalists

Journalism – Media section

PFCNO journalists have the chance to occupy the corridors of power of Parliament, inform MPs of the facts and publish articles concerning various aspects of the event.

Member of Parliament section

Do you like social debates and politics? Create agreements or make speeches? The MP component is for you !

: Yes, there will be 2 fee options. $425 for the 4 per room (2 beds) experience or $550 for the 2 per room (2 beds) experience. These fees include airfare, lodging, food and all related expenses during the event. Participants will only be asked to pay these fees once their application has been confirmed.

: Register with the registration form. Indicate in which province you live/represent in the form. The registrations will then be sent to the participating province who will choose the representatives of their province to the PFCNO !
