THE 2024 EDITION: ANTIRACISM AND COMMUNITIES OF BELONGING

The new edition of the Summit will take place from March 15 to 17, 2024 at the André-Piolat school in North Vancouver and will welcome around forty students from grades 8 to 12 from CSF schools!

The theme chosen for this edition of the Summit, anti-racism and communities of belonging, aims to offer young people spaces to talk about their experiences related to race and imagine more inclusive communities together. With workshops and activities promoting sharing, as well as social moments, young people will take part in an unforgettable experience this weekend.

The registration period is open until January 30, 2024 at the following link: https://cjfcb.typeform.com/Sommet2024

THE COMMUNITY AXIS AND A NEW LOOK FOR THE SUMMIT!

During this edition of the Summit, young people are invited to reflect on the place of race within the different communities with which they identify as well as their role in these spaces. With the help of the working group made up of 6 passionate young people, this Summit will allow young people to promote PAR and FOR young people in a concrete way by creating opportunities for sharing in a safe environment.

The Summit also has a brand new logo! With the same bright colors of Empreintes and playful style, this logo echoes the gathering and invites us to think about our communities.

Like the Empreintes Forum, the Summit promotes curiosity and creativity and invites young people to think about who they are. Identity remains a key element; During this weekend, young people, regardless of their identity, will be able to learn together, raise awareness and think about how to improve their communities.

Thank you to the Conseil scolaire francophone de la B.C. for their support of this project.
