WHAT’S THE LIFC?
The Franco-Colombian Improvisation League (LIFC) is an event for Conseil scolaire francophone students aged from grade 8 to 12. Each team, made up of 4 to 8 students, will get the chance to train with a coach before the tournament to make the on-stage experience truly unforgettable!
Level up your skills with the LIFC
The LIFC was created to help you build confidence in speaking, strengthen your teamwork, and share unique moments and activities around a special theme, all while making new friends.
How is the tournament going?
Team creation / foundation :
Form an improv team of 4 to 8 members at your school. If you don't have a team, don't worry! Sign up and we'll help you find one.
Training sessions :
Before the tournament, each team takes part in some improvisation training organised by coaches. These sessions will help you to develop specific skills : character creation, sketch structure and all the components of a successful improv!
The tournament :
During the weekend, the teams will confront each other during games (qualifications, half-finals and finals). At each match, a referee draws topics at random, then the players improvise short, often humorous scenes in front of an audience.

THROWBACK ON 2026 EDITION
This latest edition of the LIFC was highlighted by the big return of our improv tournament at the Festival du Bois in Coquitlam!
Around thirty youth from across B.C., supported by their incredible coaches, performed for two days before an enthusiastic audience under a tent filled with the colours of Franco-Colombian youth.
In addition to improv, the LIFC offered an experience full of creativity, good vibes, laughter and social gatherings that brought everyone together. Congratulations to the players for your incredible performances, especially to the Fantômes du Old Spaghetti Factory (from Comox and Kelowna), our winning team of the year!
Thank you to the coaches and our amazing volunteers from the 18+ Improv League who shared their passion with the youth, as well as hosting and refereeing the matches all weekend.
We’re already looking forward to next year’s tournament!
