The LIFC, this year?
For the 2026 edition, the LIFC will be held at the Festival du Bois in Coquitlam from March 6 to 8, celebrating a fun, vintage Franco-Colombian theme. This year, the event once again has its own dedicated weekend, offering an even more festive and welcoming experience.
Become an artist at the Festival
The LIFC is your chance to dive into a truly unique artistic adventure: : you’ll heat up the stage in front of the Festival audience, join group workshops, enjoy unforgettable social evenings, and meet new people. By signing up, you officially become one of the Festival’s artists and take part in an experience that is enriching, fun, and unforgettable.

How is the tournament going?
Team creation / foundation :
Form an improv team of 4 to 8 members at your school. If you don't have a team, don't worry! Sign up and we'll help you find one.
Training sessions :
Before the tournament, each team takes part in some improvisation training organised by coaches. These sessions will help you to develop specific skills : character creation, sketch structure and all the components of a successful improv!
The tournament :
During the weekend, the teams will confront each other during games (qualifications, half-finals and finals). At each match, a referee draws topics at random, then the players improvise short, often humorous scenes in front of an audience.

THROWBACK ON 2025 EDITION
The 2025 edition of LIFC & Crescendo brought together 52 talented young talents from all over British Columbia for three intense days of coaching, workshops and artistic creation.
🎭 LIFC - The Francophone Improvisation League brought together 6 teams from across the province to compete in spectacular improvisation matches. After several coaching and preparation sessions, the young improvisers were brilliant on stage, blending creativity, speed and humor.
🌟This year, the performers had the unique opportunity to be mentored.e.s by bilingual singer Missy D. Her energy, talent and commitment left an inspiring mark on this edition.
The adventure ended on a high note, with the semi-final and final matches of the improvisation tournament at the Théâtre de l'Alliance Française** in front of an audience of 160. The competition was intense, full of twists and turns. The Northern team (Powell River / Prince George) won the cup! 🔥🏆
A huge thank you to everyone who helped make this edition a success: youth, trainers, coaches, volunteers and partners. See you in 2026 for a new, even more inspiring adventure ✨
